Spring , summer and yes autumn on its way.
The beautiful mushrooms and foliage of the seasons gave some nice photo oppertunities these seasons that I will share with you here.
Alot of coprinus, corals, chanterelles, boletus (just starting) , polypores and many parasitical species.

Since ive opted using this digital D50, for environmental reasons (no film or development that use toxic waste ),ive been able to take many photos and study a variety of species but these ones i find will be of interest.

The Amanita Muscaria (reds) and muscaria var. flaviconia/formosa (orange and yellow) varieties are popping up as the season approaches and starts. I will later have photography of these & by october should have a nice gallery.

I had passed through a pasture and fields, found some interesting
species and nice shots. I was later able to Terrarium grow the dung
cakes and fruit the species for further studies, alot of possible Psilocybe
Coprophilia (dung lover).

Very nice! Do you take spore prints from the mushrooms you find?

Most of them I do, but i wasnt able to get the coprophilias but have the papilionaceus spore prints.

When you ask of the ones I find, I find alot! So I dont really spore print them all, but it is my goal especially when ill have more time on my hands
Alot of the photography and study is done on spot and then if needed i will bring back specimens but usually with the non edibles, they will be let be.

Yes you sure did see the boletes, and ill have some more and many other varieties, alot more amanitas by the end of september photgraphed (and eaten)

Now, I wish i to note that your Panaeolus papilionaceus is not P. papilionaceus.

Also that the image in Paul Stamets' book, Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World is not a true P. papilionaceus.

It appears to be related tot he p. sphinctrinus/cmpanulatus complex.

But I can say with much clarity that it is not P. papilionaceus.
