The Library / Cranberry Juice and The Nocturnal Controllers
« on: September 11, 2008, 02:58:05 AM »
They began to sense that something was going on a couple of nights ago.

Code: [Select]
Deep sleep, hard to wake.
The sandman's crusty cover
impossible to shake.

Groggy mornings, first evidenced only by alarm clock ignorance, eventually became concrete as paralysis set in.

Code: [Select]
Murp! murp! murp! murp! murp!
What? Shake head rattle.
Moving your legs, no more ease, a battle,
one ton limbs suddenly the norm.
Frightened concentration required for walking,
a gentle unseen hand over mouth prevents talking.

Three days later it’s just beginning to become apparent.  The Nocturnal Controllers are playing their games.

Code: [Select]
Cranberry juice, cranberry juice, cranberry juice.
They’re actually not surprised.
That shit only works in the movies.

web developer is my fave.

there is a new one that restores form info to page info, which was left out of firefox 3 for some reason.  i don't know the name, i just know that it is indispensable.

Wound up,
bit on the heel
by a hyper active dog and an elegant cheese wheel.

Sound off,
to your favorite head
which sits on top the shoulders of a person made from lead.

Laugh out,
from underneath
the completely absurd nature of the human aperitif.

This SPF, and its previous incarnation, are both littered in the Library with my responses to Vonnegut's art.  Danke Schon Mr. V.  Danke Schon.

Kurt Vonnegut has died.  Feel free to rhyme.

Limerick Man,
who says "I can",
with a pointed nose,
cigarette life-span.

I'm excited for the following shows next week:

Chick Corea w/Bela Fleck
Keb' Mo'
Toots and the Maytals

And maybe followed up with an extra show of Toots.  Except for the piece of Bela Fleck, these will all be long awaited first time shows for me.  Keb' Mo' has me most excited I think, though Chick Corea with Bela sure sounds delicious.

Steve Jobs outlines a few scenarios for the future of online music sales, his favorite scenario is clearly a DRM-free distribution.

I kinda hope that they are super clever mega-bots.  Such an entity might be worth having around... :)

Also, if you are using a USB keyboard, have you tried a PS2 keyboard, or vice versa

I wonder why the keyboard is not working on that boot screen...  I guess the keyboard drivers are not  loading properly?  Can you switch the boot process to verbose mode, to try and see if any errors occur before the OS select screen?
