Hi again. The election is drawing to a close as people will have to get their votes in the post here by wednesday. The national daily made a vid of me but I had to wing it as they *had* said I was to be interviewed so I didn't prepare anything. It went really well though - I mean ...c'mon, I'm standing for the Mayoralty FFS - I have to be able to do this shit.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me out. I will put the facebook vote link back up. Here is the vid. they made, fyi

Bump - and thanks to all who clicked on me - its just a lil traction i gain from this - fighting the big boys with all their money is a tough call but my conscience demanded it.

very interesting question that has arrisen for me lately. Someone wanted a plant similar to one his friend bought off me, describing it as 'glaucous blue' (iirc). I told him that afaik I sold him one of the same species. Sure enough after giving his one some love and care it also developed the blue tinge. So, my answer would be: a sign of good health!

OMG!!! On Friday night I was drugged in a bar and it appears I have fought them off and made my way home. I had to spend hours with a police forensics team and as yet do not know what substance they used to drug me. They certainly drugged the wrong woman in the wrong place as the whole bar has surveillance cameras and so I am hoping these losers will be taken out of action. Atm I cannot remember anything. I awoke with what I can only describe as a hellish hangover (but I had scarcely been drinking; I meet friends at this bar for political discussion at the end of the working week).
chat soon! and remember NEVER leave your drink unattended

The horrible old computer just died but I will have a new one soon. :smoke:3

Well , yes indeedy Avery - I am lurking around the chat but so damn busy I don't even get to do that much actual chatting. I miss this place generally and I am soooo glad you are all still here. Thanks for missing me sister Judih - I think of you at random times. Our fuzz-buzz actually logged into chat (prolly from some cafe on a mountain in India somewhere) but I didn't get to talk to her. Roach logs into chat still. Dissy pops in here to say 'I'm alive" (last seen last year?). Ringworm works on a merchant vessel and is at home for only 4months each year.
I *do* miss Glider coz he was always funny (and sensible) and Eddy for all the nice lil chats (wish he'd put us out of our misery and fess up wtf happened). ooh, and Raver, yes!
I miss having Sol in chat too and there are some other peeps I wonder what happened to. I will make a list.
oh ... what's that 'other board'? - just curious ( I don't even have time to read this one lately)

SPF Chat / Re: Chat Needs a Radio Bot

Hi chatters ( and would-be chatters). As a chat fiend from way back I must say that I find this a bit of a non-issue. The wonderful thing about chat is that one doesn't need to read it at all. I *do* like 'short and sweet' but then I also like the idea of using the bot to its potential and I think we should let Cenny choose what it says simply in recognition of his work on this project.
I'm sure one can 'bite one's tongue' if it sends one line too many for one's comfort rather than hassling Cen about it; its going to flash your tab regardless of how many words it says.
I have asked Nitro for potbot ('the best pot bot') but he rarely replies so I will just hassle him more. LOL

Hey Fuzz .. so glad I found this thread. My best friend has (had) Hep C. and also my roommate and also an ex-lover.
The best friend has 2 kids and did her homework to discover its rare for the babe to get it. I would try and put that out of my mind if I was you.
Secondly she has been cured also by the latest round of the evil drug regime ( i think its interferon).
She got sick with it and looked terrible but it worked!
She actually did 2 treatments coz the first round didn't work. Its all able to be coped with easier if you have good loving support. I wouldn't take the cure until you have had your baby(s) though. My friend has no virus left now.
Weed doesn't hurt you if you have HepC.
Sometimes wiki doesn't get it *quite* right ...
A is the easiest to catch and the easiest to cure
B is very dangerous but there is an effective vaccine. B is often called 'serum hepatitis' and it is the one you can get just by living in the same house with it.
C is , indeed, the most difficult to catch ( but easy-peasy thru a dirty needle). One interesting thing about C tho: it can stay alive in dry blood for a month.
I am wishing all the best for you Fuzz ... even if you test positive - just keep healthy (quit booze and wat senor said about Milk Thistle - its the one!) Look for liver tonics - juiced parsley, celery and beets  - yummmm (NOT)
Love you Fuzz!

I have a mature Inga Bean and am not sure if it is really worth the space in my small yard. The 'ice-cream' part is quite nice but there isn't much of it and the beans are a bit yuk (imho).
I think an Avocado would be more worthwhile although they *do* grow HUGE.
A great thing for the vege garden is lettuce varieties that self-sow (also parsley). Then one always has some greens.
I have a brown turkey fig that produces awesome crops. I pruned it so I can sit up in there and share my feast with the birds.
Globe artichokes can be developed as a perennial bed - I have them as the front flower garden- they are a wonderful food source and look great.
Happy gardening!

We have perfect conditions for a late flush of our local fun fungi. I'll be out looking over the weekend (just to look, of course).
