On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: Buffalo Tom, *Quiet and Peace* (2018) . . . New album by this legendary Boston band, brooding but sometimes light in touch, epic in sweep, but intimate in detail . . . a melancholy but not unhappy album . . . lotta beauty in its seeming contradictions . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album Redux: NIck Drake, *Pink Moon* (1972) . . . Previously featured on the 12/8/2007 episode of this show . . . Third & final album by Drake prior to his suicide a couple of years later . . . him, guitar, a bit of piano . . . dark strange lyrics, yet the sound of a man powerfully dancing with his demons, seeing what he needs to see, questioning, deciding, perhaps questioning some more . . . a strange & lovely work  . . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 15 of *The Unconsoled* by Kasuo Ishiguro . . .

On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: The Church, *Man Woman Life Death Infinity* (2017) . . . In 2013, this legendary Australian psychedelic rock band, one of my top 10 favorite rock bands ever, parted ways with its brilliant lead guitarist, Marty Willson-Piper, for reasons never really explained publicly . . . new lead guitarist is Ian Haug . . . I did not like the first album by this reconfigured band, & was bitterly sad for Willson-Piper leaving . . . but their new album is good, feels like something worked hard to a really good result  . . . I didn't have to try to like it . . . it's just a really fine record . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album Redux: Herman's Hermits, *Blaze* (1967) . . . Part of the British Invasion, but not taken as seriously as The Beatles or The Rolling Stones, more simply great pop hit-makers, the Hermits nonetheless kept evolving their own sound until they arrived to this album . . . ten songs, under 30 minutes in all, fully of lyrsergic bubblegum wonderfulness . . . though not many noticed this album at the time, it's great, lovely, try it!

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 15 of *The Unconsoled* by Kasuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artists are Herman's Hermits again, singles they recorded in 1968 & 1969, their music sweet delights to hear . . . haven't done a Sunday show in years & years, but here is one, & then a break till May, & then back in the morning time!

Webcasting to the globe & beyond from Ye Olde New England!
