On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: Thom Yorke, *Tomorrow's Modern Boxes* (2014) . . . second solo LP by the Radiohead lead singer & one of its masterminds . . . this album especially for those who are fans of the band's *Kid A* & *Amnesiac* LPs . . . serves as a kind of third installment . . . music that works deep into the lonely electronics of the mind & heart . . . beautiful, startling, obsessive  . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, *Songs and Music from the Motion Picture "She's the One"* (1996) . . . This album does not need its film to stand finely as a great record . . . I admit I have not seen the film . . . yet I have listened to this album many, many times . . . it is a kind of melange of older songs not before on LP, cover songs (Lucinda Williams, Beck), & songs written for the film . . . it's so good, so-Heartbreakers good in its hard rocking & softer moments, that the film becomes something like a thing of the imagination than real . . . might see it sometime, might not . . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 18 of *The Unconsoled* by Kazuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artists are more of those featured on "Casey's Top 40 with Casey Kasem," back on 12.November.1994 . . . twisted & bruised my ankle recently, not too bad, but laid me up a bit . . . somehow calmed, focussed me, feeling a bit more appreciative & focussed . . . weird, huh?

On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: Gin Blossoms, *Mixed Reality* (2018) . . . first new album in 8 years by this long-time jangle-rock group from Arizona . . . the challenge with a long-lived band is to build from what was to what they are becoming, & catch these efforts in new songs . . . GBs do it well on this LP, showing the loving fury still in their hearts to create & play good new music . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album: The Jayhawks, *Blue Earth* (1989) . . . Second LP from this venerable Minnesota alt-country band . . . the sound is more traditional, if one is thinking of their brilliant, beautiful idiosyncrasies  to come . . . but the harmonies are deep, the melancholic yearning in every lovely young note . . . the music arrives & stays & stays . . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 18 of *The Unconsoled* by Kazuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artists are one last bunch of those featured on "Casey's Top 40 with Casey Kasem," back on 12.November.1994 . . . some weeks feel like specters & a wonder where they passed on to . . .
