my gum is now swollen... from a tooth thats been giving me trouble
i have been flossing and brushing gently now and i had to take some
antibiotics to help the swelling and pain
and the pain went away... but now i have a bump on my gum... that sometimes gets bigger or smaller depending on what i eat or drink etc...
so i have been using frankinsese peices.... under my lip... and it helps a whole lot
i was just wondering if anyone else has used a herb or root to chew on... like neem or lycorice....
and does anyone have a good source for fresh herbs/roots for dental hygene
and advice would be helpful...
thanks yall.... and PeAcE!

You could try cloves but if you have a tooth abscess you should really get it checked out.

i have been going to dentists.... and such..
but from what i gather... people say that once you get one infection of
this sort.... its common to have it reappear again and again....
systemic is the word ive heard...
and im thinking....once all my dental work is done...
i would like to maintain... and use some type of root
such as licorice or other bark/root
i have heard that fresh wheatgrass.... chewed like a cow...
rejuvinates teeth and makes them regrow enamel
yup... i figured someone would have some holistic methods to talk about
PeAcE yall!

Hey, man.
Sorry to hear about your tooth, but good to hear from you, bro.

make tincture w/151 vodka & goldenseal root, myrrh resin, maybe some pau d'arco (taheebo, etc.), & others as you wish &/or intuit ---> clove, ginger, rosemary, lemongrass, peyotyl, cinnamon...
& then an eyedropperful of your tincture into a cuppa hot water for a gargle/rinse...
chew-sticks of galanga or calamus, nibbling on clovebuds...
brushing with baking soda, salt & peroxide...
floss & irrigate with a waterpic-like appliance...

Heya,
I'd suggest Bee Propolis its a very potent natural anti-septic/biotic . Can get it at any healthfood store.
Peace

Its a jaw infection that started in your tooth
the dentist has to drill into it through a tooth and let your gum drain. Also antibiotics. I had this happen when I was about 12 and I am 35 now and it never came back. yet

I hope I'm not too late with this suggestion coz it really works. You have to pack cotton wool under your lip so that the sensitive skin doesn't come into contact with the treatment or it will sting.
You crush some garlic and place it on the swelling ... it stings a bit but its bearable. You may need to repeat the treatment several times.
The other thing is to use hot water rinses - as hot as you can stand. The anaerobic bacteria which are causing your problem don't like heat.
Hope it clears up.

Now...If you don't have the dough to actually go to the doctor...
You can find most of the antibiotics that you need at you local giant pet store without a prescription.
You need to do some research tho' as far as which one you might need.
ever,
Lizzy
