I don't know about Bumble but there are some viable seeds out there. I started some myself and have one survivor to show for it. It's a fair amount of work and time to raise them. They are incredibly small plants when they sprout and take a long time to get to any reasonable size. My lone survivor is about 2' and lives outdoors. Except when it freezes, that is.

I just got a pretty nice specimen from WWW.shamansgarden.com . Looks like a smaller branching type of tree compared to the Rifat I got with it with a couple long branches. I do hope and feel that I did get a Bumble Bee Kratom plant. Looks nice, and small. Their supposed to only get 5-6 feet, or something like that. Just right for my apartment, where I am growing out of room. At least someone has confirmed it. Like to hear some more info from an ethnobotanist, or just a botanist with some actual notes.

I have four rifat trees that I got from ebay but shaman's garden was the only source for BB that I could find. It is much more expenmsive than ebay, though, so I am waiting to see if the plants are worth it.

I'm in FL East 9b and the plants are thriving like they are wild. It is amazing, one can watch them grow, just a little slower than bamboo!

I'm seriously considering trying to graft it on to another member of it's genus . . . this is just the beginning of a hypothesis, but it could speed up leaf production here quickly. I'd ust have to find a rootstock that was available and suitable.

BTW, the bumblebee strain adn the rifat strains are truely visably different. I have heard that seed raised kratom is random, but everyhting I have read so far has proven to be a lie about this plant so who the hell knows? not meme.

All seed grown plants are different from rifat because rifat is a clone of the same plant. Do you have a photo of your plants?

I will get some pictures up today. I have 2 rifats (the other 2 are in shipping still)and a bumblebee, both of which types were propagated from cuttings. I've been meaing to take some pics of my growing garden for a while and share ;)

I'd guess the bumblebee strain was choice amoung the seedlings, and was selected for growth and potency.

There is so much bs about kratom . . . reminds me of dragibus. I liked smoking dragibus in my hookah much more, though . . . damn, I'm gonna get banned for this post ;

I wonder if anyone knows of any green-veined varieties that are in cultivation that are superior (like Bumblebee and Rifat). I also am curious if a kratom graft to another member of its family (or even seen grown kratom) might be an efficiant method of propagation.
