My advice:
1.) NEVER ADMIT GUILT. Every time a case goes forward, a stupid amount of money is wasted. If you spend less that 10% of the time your plea would be, by delaying the case, then "time served" is often offered to avert a court case.
2.) EVERY PERSON IN YOUR HOUSE should have a note on their door (unless they own it) SIGNED by them, which means (A) that the owner is not responsible for that room, and (B) that if a warrent for that home is issued, then it might not be valid for the leased rooms.
3.) NEVER type "novelty ID" into google !!
4.) Awesome lawyers win by not letting it go to court; find one that will change venues and delay until the case is "lost."
5.) Find out who the prosecuter is. Find out where he went to school, when he did, and call the frat he was in (whatever0. Ask then to refer a lawyer from the same frat/school/time, and PAY him.
6.) NARC!!! If it was cell phones then an additional charge of "use of communication equipment in drug crime" would be a likely charge.
I would love to give more advice, but this is too public to ask questions.
PS Chlorox Bleach not flushing or dumping ;(

Nothing ever changes...having a couple rolls doesn't a criminal make, 2 years locked up...does a criminal make.

wow, I just saw this thread...
gnrm23, you've been a member since... well since almost day one here. If you need anything at all, or if the kids need anything at all, I'd be happy to try and rally the family for support.
Man I can't imagine going through that... hang tough though, 2 years is a ridiculous amount of time for that non-crime but it isn't forever.
Maybe you can shoot me a pm and I could write a letter to maybe take away some of the boredom of jail. Wish I could do more....

Let her know that there are us folks out here that have her in our thoughts and 'have her back' at least in the philosophical sense... Let us know if there's anything we can do to ease the burden....

i'm saving up a rilly big crying jag for this weekend, i think...
gathering info per prison regs in re mail & packages & visits etc...
if she wants mail, i will supply info to well-wishers when i have her prisoner # ( ) at marysville (oh) state reformatory for women...
shitfuk&g'dammitall...
"dear guvna strickland, you don't know me but..."
and so it goes...
~~~
om the plus side, they were trying to send my son away for 2 full years for violating the judge's ban against smoking dope while on work release during a 5 month stay at lake co min.sec. facility; at the hearing truth & justice shared a space --- his piss test numbers weren't dropping fast enough to please the court (tho he hadn't puffed since november!!); a graph showing plasma THC levels vs. urine levels, & a very informative letter faxed to the court from a wonderful m.d. friend convinced the court that his metabolism was just taking quite a while to clear out the stored thc from his adipose tissues... so they closed the hearing & said they'd let him out in march instead of june...
~~~
dammit, what we put into our bodies (or share with our friends) shouldn't be any of their fukn bizness... ummm, imho...
~~~
play safely & discretely out there my friends, big brother is indeed watching...
just an update:
son is out; enjoys sleeping in his own bed, staying up late watching TV, sleeping until he's ready to get up... the ex-wife took him (& me, okay) out for a steak dinner monday night... it is sooo good to have him back...
as for mein dotter --- well, she has been in county lockup the past couple/few weeks, but i think today she is being transfered to marysville (OH state reformatory for women; just west of columbus)... time to file applications for visiting, find out about putting $100 in her commissary account, & what sort of packages from the approved supplier can be sent there asap, etc... & hope for the best, i suppose...
(oh, & i did have me a major crying jag/nervous breakdown the night she was locked up in county --- loud enough to scare her kitty into hiding under the table... then a bit later some friends stopped by to help me drink just enough to crawl up to bed & wake up with a small hangover...)
when i have her prisoner # (within 2 weeks i think) i'm sure she would welcome letters from some kind folks...
blessed be
/gnrmi
