I thought I posted this yesterday, and the subject autocompleted. Weird! But here goes.
The great Dickie Petersen, the leader, bassist and vocalist from Blue Cheer passed away at the age of 61.
Blue Cheer was a vastly underrated band from Haight St.'s golden age. They were the prototypical heavy power trio and louder than Spinal Tap.
Dickie never gave an inch and toured with Cheer for 40+ years. He will be missed.
