Hello everyone,
I've just added a work of my fixtion to the Scriptor Press website. It's called Things Change (Six Threshholds) [a new fixtion] and can be freely downloaded at:
http://www.scriptorpress.com/things_change.pdf (712KB size).
Things Change? was written between the summer of 2000 and early 2005, during which time I lived at various points in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Washington State, and Oregon. It's a complete work in itself but also part of a long-running series of stories and novels I've been writing since about 1981. The setting varies widely but tends to come back to a bar full of misfits & mystics, called Luna T's Cafe. It asks as I am able the big questions in life about desire, Art, loneliness, war, human consciousness & the psychedelic effect, and the different kinds of human poverty.
My writing no longer models after any one writer though in my youth I did admire and learn from Nathaniel Hawthorne, J.D. Salinger, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jorge Luis Borges, Rainer Maria Rilke, Franz Kafka, among prose writers. Things Change? gets a little and then a lot crazy at times as I was working through my various ideas and living in some pretty strange situations at times.
This novel is available for your free download and reading time.
Peace to all,
Raymond
