LOL I have backed down from nothing. (including my opinion on the florida public education system.)

As jiku pointed out, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to make the predictions you made above. Most around here expect bidness as usual in washington. The lack of takers on the bet only confirms the obvious answer to your "prognostication," imo.

Btw, the florida repubs have also disenfranchised the floridarepub voters. They too have vowed to sanction that party for moving up the primary date. While their proposed sanction isn't as complete as the dems, they have promised to take away a percentage of the florida rebubs votes in the national convention.

If florida sets the rules in the state and the dnc sets the rules for the national convention, I don't see how anyone has done anything wrong. Most folks learn to deal with the consequences of their personal actions. The Florida democratic party should do the same. ANd if the people of florida don't like the consequences of the state party, the people should replace their representitives.

Btw, feel free to reread the entire thread and see just who has been throwing up red herrings and off-topic comments.

Oh yes, you did indeed say that florida voters "forfeited" their right to select a candidate. No amount of backtracking can change that. Now, you no longer say it so you deserve encouragement for improvement but you did say it.

You said in your last post:

"Btw, the florida repubs have also disenfranchised the floridarepub voters..."

Again wrong. Florida repubs have done no such thing. The RNC is threatening to do something, we don't know what, but has done nothing yet.

You reluctantly agree I am right in my prognostications. Everyone knows the demos will cave in again after having made many speeches denouncing the war and demanding the troops come home. They will then turn around and vote to continue said war. It's as predictable as the outcome of a professional wrestling match.

It seems that the demo's pledge not to campaign in Florida is an empty one. Now they are pledging not to campaign in Michigan. Yeah, right.

LIARS! Hillary, Obama renege on Florida pledge

Less than a week after they pledged to skip states violating DNC rules on primary dates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are already planning campaign stops in Florida, reports The Florida Masochist:

So the pledge is an empty gesture. Meant probably for voters living in Iowa, New Hampshire etc. It really shouldn't be surprising, I'll admit to being wrong about the timing, what serious Democrat or Republican hopeful wants to antagonize Florida voters or contributors? None, if they want to be elected President in November 2008.
