I guess no takers on the divine smell of Patchouli, or The large "Sun Opener" plants, or even some Good ole poppy seeds?

Howdy Bushpig! I do not know if you sent me a PM, but if so, it did not go through. Let me know if you are still interested. I can email you photos of the hemia plants being offered if you want.

Where are you located? If it gets a load of sun the plant would enjoy it. These things are very tolerant to enviromental changes and should do quite nicely. I hope you have enough room though for one, as they get quite large. If you are interested, I can email you a photo of some of mine that I have up for trade.

Well I'm located way up north in Maine, and I'd fear letting it be a part-time outside plant during the warm season because it would invite pests into my home. So I'm wondering if I can keep the sun-opener happy as a year-round potted houseplant.

If I got one, I could give it a spot in a south-facing window with a clear view to open sky, and could supplement it's lighting and length of day with shoplights like I do for my cacti.

What temperature do they require for growth? Do you think it'd be able to do well potted in the sunny window with temperatures only around room temperature?

Also, would shipping temperatures be an issue if they were shipped way up north here? Daytime temps are close to freezing now, my package wouldn't be left outside but it could still be chilly in the back of a truck.

As for space, my ceiling is about 10 ' high. Can it be pruned to keep it house size height in the future?

The plant is quite easy to grow as it is a hardwood shrub. I do not see any problems in keeping one indoors as you would. I told Rifeheretic the same thing about the weather as he lives in Chicago. I feel that even with the temperatures and the shipping method it would make it (and even if it does happen to die, we can either try again, wait until spring, or plant some of the seed that the plants are loaded down with that I am trading) It is up to you, but my partner and I have been in landscaping for some years now and have not had too many probs with shipping especially something as hardy as theses guys.

I sent you an email SITC of a picture of some of the Hemia plants up for trade. I still have loads left along with Patchouli plants, Mixed poppy seeds, Aloe Veras, fruiting size pineapple plant, rubber trees, and many many more plants and seeds if anyone else is interested. I am trying to reduce my stock before I move and am willing to trade or sell these plants at a reasonable price.

I guess I should post a semi-complete list

I Edited this so the list would be at the top of this post instead of here.

I know there is more, I am just too lazy after all the cooking for Thanksgiving.... Whew!

Hey Bushpig, are you still interested on trading my friend? If so, I need your email to send you some pics of the Hemia plants up for trade, so you can decide.

Snake Charmer, please let me know if you got the pictures and if you need more or not. I do not mind in representing the plants as well as possible by taking as many pictures as you ask to help in deciding.
