this is one of the reasons for my selling a few , to raise interest in the species as an ornamental. they are beautiful plants & as you say their future looks grim as they cant even be grown legaly in their natural range in the usa its illegal

meanwhile they are harvested ,habitat destroyed & no trade from mexico on the species.i think the NAC should rethink its preference of wild peyote & seek to conserve the usa stocks for future generations to see in habitat .of course this would mean growing there own or possibly purchasing from legal growers .guess that would mean out of the country they come from lol
